Wine and beermaking equipment can be very basic, or exactly as elaborate and professional as you want it. Making wine or beer with the most basic stuff would only require a vessel (bucket, demijohn or fermenter), an airlock and a syphon for racking off after fermentation. This is OK for a trial wine kit or similar, just to test if home winemaking or beermaking is something you would like to continue doing.
