Privacy, Confidentiality and Data Protection

Brewingathome take privacy and confidentiality very seriously indeed. We never pass customer details on to any third party for any use whatever and the only information we keep is that provided by customers themselves when ordering from us of which most is stored electronically for up to 6 years. Paper copy is destroyed after 6 months

Any orders placed by PayPal, are subject to PayPal’s terms and conditions. We do keep records of orders received, but no data whatever about credit/debit cards used is ever transmitted to us. If orders are placed with us by phone, customers card details are registered either directly on the credit card machine or on paper and then transferred to the credit card machine. All paper copy taken during the order transaction are destroyed [shredded] immediately after processing and despatch.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Brewingathome is registered with the Data Protection Agency and follows all guidelines issued by them concerning the retention of personal data. All of the limited personal information we have on record may be queried by our customers. If you have any concerns about such personal information, please contact us immediately by telephone, email or letter. Our contact details are at the top of the page.

Postage Charges and Delivery Arrangements

England, Wales, Scottish Mainland – Orders Over £70.00

Orders are processed Monday to Friday, but not at weekends, so orders placed after 2.00pm on a Friday will not be processed until the following Monday.
Saturday delivery will only occur if orders are sent by Royal Mail, i.e. those generally valued under £10.00

Orders with a value exceeding £70.00 are sent free of charge by carrier to all UK mainland addresses, including the Scottish Highlands. After processing, which, due to walk-in customer pressures, can be up to 48 hours from receipt, orders are dispatched for next working weekday delivery. NB The Scottish Highlands usually need a a further 24 hours before receipt. If a parcel is returned to us due to non-delivery, customers will be liable for all reshipping costs.

England, Wales, Scottish Mainland – Orders Under £70.00

All orders that total under £30.00, are subject to a postage charge of £6.00. Orders totaling between £30.01 and £70.00 are subject to a postage charge of £6.00. Deliveries are made by a carrier on a next working day service, or by Royal Mail. We endeavor to despatch all orders within 1-3 working days. If a parcel is returned due to non-delivery you will be liable for all reshipping costs.

Please note: We sell only within the UK mainland and all money received for orders from elsewhere will be refunded.

Out Of Stock Items

If any item on your order is out of stock for more than 7 working weekdays, we will advise you of this by email and suggest one of the following options:

1. That we deduct this item from your order and arrange for the value of the item to be refunded to your PayPal account.

2. That we will advise on a suitably similar alternative and any price difference will be refunded to your PayPal account, if the alternative item is of lower value than your original order. We will also bear the cost of any higher value ourselves or reserve the right not to offer an alternative.

3. That we can delay the shipment of your entire order until the requested item returns to our stock.

4. That we ship any out of stock items at a later date, at cost to ourselves. This option is subject to the item not being flagged as “out of stock” on the website, and assumes that the relevant item is part of an order of multiple items rather than an a single item order. In the latter case only a refund or the delayed shipment described in 3. above will be offered in the terms of this option.

Refund Policy

If goods are ordered in error, or if you decide that you do not want the items you have ordered, they may be returned at your own expense, within 21 days of the goods being delivered and signed for. We reserve the right to make a charge adjustment for any postage incurred by us on the original purchase, or for any damage sustained on return of the item.

Brewingathome accepts no liability for loss or damage during return transit. Confirmation of posting is not a guarantee of delivery nor of return in good condition. All items should be returned via a “signed for” service. Alternatively if you contact us, Brewing at Home can arrange for the goods to be collected at cost to yourself, using our own preferred carrier.

Brewing at Home will then effect a refund, less the original postage charges, and the collection charge if applicable, within 7 days of the goods being received by Brewing at Home.

If any item in an order been opened or used, it will not be eligible for a refund.

Pricing

If any error is found in the prices shown on this website, Brewingathome will honour the price shown on the occasion of the error. Prices shown on the site may alter immediately after an error has been identified.

Missing items, or Goods incorrectly supplied or damaged

If any of the items in your order are damaged, you must notify us about which items are damaged within 36 hours of signing for the goods. We will then arrange uplift and replacement of the damaged goods.

If we are not notified within 36 hours we are unable to place a claim with our carriers and will not be able to replace the goods.

If we have accidentally sent you the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will arrange for our carriers return the incorrectly supplied item. Once the incorrect item has been returned we will replace it with the correct item.

If, on checking your order, you believe any items are missing from it, please contact us within 3 days of receipt and signing for your order and we will look into the matter and despatch any missing items. If you do not contact us within 3 days of receipt of your order, the sale will be regarded as having been completed to the satisfaction of both seller and purchaser.

Cancellation Policy

An order may be cancelled for a full refund as long as preparation has not been started.

Returns are not accepted.

 

Refund and Delivery policy

We aim to serve you with the highest standard of service. Should your order not meet your expectations then we may refund part or all of your order or give a credit towards your next order.

 

your order packaging has been tampered or damaged at the time of delivery;

·         us cancelling your order due to
failure to contact you by phone or email at the time of confirming the order booking; or

·         you cancelling the order at the time of confirmation due to unavailability of the items you ordered for at the time of booking.

Our decision on refunds shall be at our sole discretion and shall be final and binding.

Should you wish to make a complaint, please contact us within an hour of receiving your order, and ask to speak to the duty manager. Each complaint is considered on its own merit, refunds and cancellations are at the discretion of the duty manager.
